Metrotec takes the protection of personal data and your privacy very seriously. Below, you will find answers to the most important questions concerning our policy regarding the processing of personal data.
What personal data do we collect and for what purpose?
When you make a purchase and create a user account, we will ask you to provide your name, telephone number and e-mail address. This information is necessary for us to be able to provide the GPS tracking service and to offer and deliver products related to the service
How long do we preserve personal data and to whom do we disclose it?
We preserve your personal data for the period during which you use the service and for the six months that follow. After six months have passed since the end of your use of the service in respect of a Metrotec device, any tracking data concerning that device will be automatically deleted from our system. If there is no other device associated to your user credentials, the credentials will also be removed from the system.
We will not disclose your personal data to third parties unless you instruct us to do so in writing, or unless obligated by the law.
How can I change my data in the system? Can I delete my data from the system?
You have the right, at any time, to update your personal data or to correct any mistakes therein by filling out a corresponding application via the management interface of the service.
You may also, at any time, terminate the provision of the service by filling out a corresponding written application in the service environment – which will also entail an immediate deletion of your data from the system.
